Obituary

On December 25th, Christmas day, the year 1953, another son was born to Rose &Herman Moxey on West & South Street. He was named Arthur Godfrey Moxey who was the last child of Sixteen(16) children, Thirteen (13) Boys & Three (3) Girls.

As a young boy, one was able to see the many talents he displayed. Arthur received much attention from Mother as others did not get that kind of privilege.

As Arthur grew, he was gifted with athletic talents and laterbecame one of the finest short-stop in softball, of which he was a member on several teams, competing on the Southern Recreational Grounds. He was also a very good student academically as he was the only member in the family to attend a private High School called Aquinas College at that time.

When our mother passed away, Arthur was only Twelve(12) years old, along with his brother Harold (deceased) who was two years older & Patsy who was also was the youngest sister. Arthur was given the nickname Debbie, because the family wanted a little sister instead because of the amount of brothers already in the family.

Arthur grew to love music even though he was a Banker at Citi Bank, Thompson Blvd for many years. But his love for music seemed to take precedence over everything else. He was always the life of the party. He could make one laugh, no matter what difficulties you might be facing He lived with his sister Cynthia most of his life, who raised him and the other two siblings. He later married his wife Charlene and they were the proud parents of Shelly and Debron whom he loved dearly.

Arthur later moved to Abaco for several years as a government employee. He was assigned to the Price Control Unit. He was a musician in heart and he enjoyed playing the keyboard, as a member of Prayer & Praise Assembly and was a part of the praise and worship team until his death.

Several years ago, Arthur started having problems with his heart; he was later admitted to Intensive Care Unit at Princess Margaret Hospital on two occasions. One would not have known that Arthur was ill, as he never showed any signs. He was always in a jovial mood even as a patient in the Hospital.

On August 3rd, 2013, He lost his battle and exchanged time for eternity. Arthur will certainly be missed by many friends and love ones.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE!!!!
