Obituary

There are not enough words to express the person we all knew and loved, but just to name a few. Beatrice was a phenomenal, outstanding, astonishing, remarkable and God fearing woman.
This mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend was a person who we knew loved the Lord, church was a must, she would be in attendance morning and night when she was able to attend. Beatrice was one who would give her last and would make generous contributions without hesitation. Whenever the church had a convention she would try to be present at all.

So you see travelling was something Beatrice loved and did and made sure that her children when they were younger accompanied her along with her mother, and nephews, Carl and Chris. Beatrice even ensured that her late brother Peter visited Miami for the very first time. Our Mother was an honest, hard working woman, always ensuring that we had everything we wanted and needed. She was a devoted wife through good times and bad and always was supportive and her love was never ending.

Mommy enjoyed cooking. She only needed to know that someone was celebrating a birthday, having a baby shower or any special occasion she would begin to plan a menu. The best pot of Crab & Rice you will ever taste, baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, fried fish and the likes she was known for and much more. Mommy was family oriented and that was one of the reasons why she would always have huge dinner parties she loved being in the presence of all her loved ones.

Mommy loved her grand children she always hoped for a girl but three (3) boys were all she ended up with, they all loved her, all affectionately calling her 'grammy'. Tahran was her shadow he was closest to her heart, William her little man and Brandon will always be her baby. Such a vibrant outgoing person full of life and energy always captured the hearts of many with her amazing smile, or maybe it was her distinguished personality she could fill a room with warmth by her presence alone.

Early in January 2015, Mommy went to the doctor for a regular checkup because she was experiencing pain in her abdominal, the news came a few days later that she had cervical cancer Mommy steps then began to fail and her weight fell off thereafter. Many nights mommy would cry out because of the pain. Ricka was her right hand and constantly by her side and would assist with whatever she needed, while Tahran would be there to fetch little things for her, Derrick ensured that she had hot meals as mommy taught him how to cook right before she took ill.

There is a saying 'expect the unexpected' and on Friday July 31, no one expected you to leave this earth so soon. Doctors did everything they could to save you but you knew it was time to surrender. God decided to put his loving arms around you and promised to never let you go, he said no more pain, no more suffering Beatrice its time and your end is here. Mommy you did well raising your children and grand-children, you had some hills to climb, valley to tunnel through, some good and bad days but you kept the faith and God saw you through now you have gone to receive your just reward. We will forever keep you in our fondest memories.
Rest in paradise sweet angel, you have earned your halo. We will always love you.
May her soul rest in peace.
