Brendan Andrew Cartwright the only son and second child of the late Grace Pritchard Cartwright and Arthur Peter Cartwright was born on the 25th day of March, 1948 in the settlement of Hamilton's, Long Island.

"Brennen", as he was affectionately called, received his early education at the Scrubb Hill School. At the age of sixteen Brendan left Long Island and headed to Nassau seeking employment. He worked with his uncle Cleophas and then joined the staff of Nassau Agency. He later worked at Solomon's Wholesale, Blanco Bleach, Texaco Service Station and later Polar Ice. An industrious man, one who took pride and pleasure in everything he did. A businessman, he was the proprietor of Morning Dew Ice and Water.

Brendan enjoyed fishing and loved music. He loved the Lord, he would encourage others to be saved. He has brought many of his family and friends to know and accept the Lord as their personal
Saviour. Brendan was a man that knew his bible from Genesis to Revelation.

In 1999, Brendan meet and fell in love with the love of his life Michelle Archer and on October 12th 2001, they were united in holy matrimony. Their union was blessed with one beautiful daughter
Keturah Grace. He was Predeceased by his son Andrew. On Sunday August 31st, Brendan was taken away to be with his Lord and Saviour.
