A Time To Be Born
On the 24th day of August 1975, a handsome 81b 6oz baby boy was born to Tyrone(deceased)and Vernita Babbs What a joy this was to welcome their fourth son into this world. Brian as he was named was the most affectionate of all. As he grew his love for his mom increased and each day he picked a rose and said" here mom I love you."
Education and School
Brian grew up in the city of Nassau Bahamas. He Attended Stephen Dillett Primary, C I Gibson Jr High and later S C Mcpherson High School. He attended San Bernadino College in Los Angelos California.
Accomplishments
He was very gifted and talented in sports, and displayed great athletic ability.
During his early years at S C Mcpherson High School Brian excelled in sports. Though initially only interested in Basketball, Brian made great strides in track and field. His love and dedication for the sport of basketball assisted S C Mcpherson to reach the championships in 1992 and 1993. He trained intensely and rigorously with coach Trevor grant and coach Vincent Sullivan.
He once held the record for the hundred meter dash with a time of 10.36 seconds. Brian traveled the world extensively with the Bahamas track and field team. He represented the Bahamas in countries like Babados Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago,Sweden, Guatemala And Central America. His love for track and field grew and because of his athletic ability and dedication for sports he earned a scholarship to attend college abroad. He was enrolled in San Bernadin Valley College in Los Angelos California.
A time To Live
Upon his return from college Brian was employed for a while in Nassau. He later moved to Abaco reunited with his long time friend and worked for a while. He gained many friendships while in Abaco,who remained his friends for life. After a few years he visited friends in Eleuthera, fell in love with the island and decided to make Rock Sound his home. His ambitious and outgoing personality caused his friendship to extended throughout the island. While there he was employed and had just began cattle farming, he was excited and optimistic about his future plans. After a few years Brian experienced some health problems, he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. He traveled to Nassau periodically seeking medical attention and was admitted to hospital several times. Recently he traveled to Cuba to get a second opinion on his diagnosis. After returning to Nassau from Cuba he was admitted in hospital again, by this time his health had deteriated. Dialysis treatment was now a part of his life several times each week. Even though he was very ill and weak he was always in good spirit. We always spoke about prayer and God. Brian was not deterred by his present condition and always kept a positive attitude. A few words to describe Brian are determined, dynamic and optimistic. Brian always spoke about becoming an entrepreneur, his dream was to have his own business He strongly believed that where there is a will there is a way. He loved Eleuthera and was eager to return if God had spared his life. To him the Island life was the ideal life peace and relaxiation he often said.
A Fathers Love
He loved his daughters,they were daddy's princesses. He often spoke about their different personalities and how he loved them so much.
He talked about his punishment as a child, but said his love for them is so great, too much to even spank them. In his eyes all of them were beautiful .He did the best he could ,despite his short comings.
His love for his girls was unimaginable.
