During the early morning on Sunday, December 18th 1966, a beautiful baby girl was born to Wilfred Hepburn and Nellie Arthur Miller (deceased). The proud parents named her Cheryl Felicia Hepburn. Cheryl or Sherry as she was affectionately called was the apple of both of her parents's eye.
Cheryl was brought up in a very loving and caring home. Like most children Cheryl enjoyed the everyday joys of being a child, despite being born with a severe stenotic valvular hear disease. Tradgedy truly struck in October 1977 when Cheryl was only 10 and lost her mother to a traffic fatality.
Cheryl attended C.W.Sawyer Primary School and went on to attend D.W. Davis High School. It was during her early teen years that Cheryl character began to show and most of her counterparts began describing her as a person who always said exactly what was on her mind. She may have been misunderstood by many, but she meant no harm. Cheryl became employed at Bernart Store where she worked countless hours to provide for her three kids Jerome, Jamie and Sheanda. A few years later she found employment at Little Switzerland, where she worked harder after the addition of her last son Chavez.
Cheryl, world always revolved around her children. So in 1998, when her father asked her to relocate to Cat Island to work at the family business " Boggie Pound" she was a quick to answer the call. She remained in Cat Island for some 12 years before moving to Exuma. It was late December 2011: Cheryl while on a trip in Cat Island discovered that she was having severe chest pains. In January of this year after a visit to the Doctor, Cheryl discovered that the severe stenotic valvular hear disease had depreciated over the years and she need a valve replacement in order to continue on living. As time pass, her condition worsened and she was in and out of the hospital.
Cheryl was a fighter and she continued to fight along with her children to find funds for the much needed surgery. On Sunday. September 2nd her conditioned worsened and she was moved to the Intensive Care at Princess Margaret Hospital. On Tuesday, September 4th shortly after 2 p.m. Cheryl heard the Mater's voice calling and went to be on with the Lord
