Obituary

On August 27th, 1952 in the city of Nassau, New Providence, a beautiful baby girl was born to the late David and Salome Rolle. They named her Dorothy Louise.
She received her early education at Sandilands Primary and Eastern Senior. She was employed at Ocean Cay, Gladstone Farm and as a Fruit Vendor on Potter's Cay Dock. Dorothy accepted the Lord and has been a member of St. Paul's Baptist Church for many years. Dorothy founded pleasure in providing our church with fruits and vegetables especially furing Harvest Thanksgiving. Dorothy loved her Pastor and her church. She found pleasure in attending weddings, funerals and standing god-mother. It was indeed a joy for her to give to anyone who came into contact with her, she was truly a giver.
Happy moments will linger in the hearts of her friend and partner Earl Smith, to whom she was married to for 17 years.
This August, she celebrated her 61st birthday with her family and friends for the last time.
On Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 Dorothy was admitted into the hospital, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. On Tuesday September, 24th Dorothy slipped away.
