Obituary

"O, what a surprise is goin to be, when our dear Mother, Grand mother, Aunt, Sister, Cousin and Friend we shall surely see"

It was a joyous and auspicious occasion when the quaint little picturesque settlement of Lowe Sound, Andros welcomed the bouncing baby girl Ethel Evans. The day August 31st, 1921, would be a momentous occasion for Amos Evans and Maggie McQueen.
Ethel blossomed and thrived at Lowe Sound All Age School. Soon after leaving school, she would catch the eye of the not late James Sherman, who would later become her soul mate and husband. Ethel was known as the lady with a green thumb because she loved to toil daily in her domestic farm. Ethel was one of the best undiscovered female farmers in all of Andros.
As well as an excellent farmer she was a dedicated wife and mother, taking care of her paralyzed son the late Udell Sherman from infancy until is untimely demised.
On July 10th, 2011 Ethel Sherman's health started to fail her, thus began her long health battle. On October 1st, 2011, God saw that there was a space needed to be filled in his heavenly gardens for a farmer not just any farmer but the best farmer, Ethel Sherman. On that evening she quietly slipped away surrounded by her loving daughters into our savior's arms.
Mrs. Sherman was predeceased by her son Udell Sherman.
