A TIME TO BE BORN...... On the 1st of January, 1926 on the beautiful settlement of Lowe Sound Andros, a bouncing baby boy was born to the parentage of Marion Thurston and Edwin Dean who both predeceased him.
EDUCATION...... He attended the Lowe Sound All-Aged School for his early education.
EMPLOYMENT...... After finishing school, he left Andros and went on the Contract to the United States for a number of years and then returned home for other employment. He then joined the staff of Trace Security where he served as a Security Officer for 10(Ten) years. Blessed with amazing cooking skills and great entrepreneurial skills, he began his private mobile lunch business where he electrified the workers of BEC and other Government corporations with his succulent meals. No one could "throw down" like uncle!
A TIME TO LOVE...... During his move to Nassau, "Uncle" met and fell in love with the late Mary McKenzie Dean whom he married.
HIS CHURCH....... In the year 2000 he joined the First Baptist Church located Coconut Grove, Nassau, Bahamas. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and was very thrilled to attend church on a regular basis. He joined the Senior Choir to lend his voice to praising the Lord. His attendance was consistent and was only interrupted when he was ill and became unable attend due to his illness.
A TIME TO DIE..... After being diagnosed with prostate cancer 10 years ago, he bravely continued battling with numerous visits to the doctor. During these visits, he became loved by Dr. Robin Roberts of Elizabeth Estates Clinic. These times were sometimes very painful for "uncle" as he was affectionately called, but in his very strong way he would not complain.
