Obituary

1st Cor.5:1: For we know if our earthly house of his tabernacle were dissolved we have a building of God, and house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

A TIME TO BORN.... There was much joy and happiness in the home of Raphael Morley and Caroline Morley nee Dames in the beautiful settlement of Forbes Hill, Exuma on 27th January 1919 when they welcomed the eighth of their ten children and their third daughter who they named Eulah. Her parents and her nine siblings predeceased her.

A TIME TO REBIRTH..... As a child Eulah worshiped at the St. Peter's Baptist Church at Forbes Hill, Exuma. Upon leaving Exuma to live in Nassau, she attended the Salem Baptist Church and becamse one of the original members of the Salem Grove Mission. She later joined and became a long standing member of First Baptist Church.
She accepted the Lord as her Personal Savior earlier in life and could be heard throughout the night and day giving him praise and thanks for his goodness, grace and mercies towards her. She would always pray for her children, friends and loved ones.

A COURSE OF LIFE.... Eulah spen her early years in Exuma where she received her early education at the Forbes Hill All Age School.
She left Exuma as a teenager to seek employment in Nassau. She lived with her second brother, James (Bulla Jimmy) who ensured that she attended the Dundas Civic Center where she was trained to become a domestic worker. After some years in the domestic field and wanting to provide a better life for her family, in the early 1950's she left her four children in the care of her sisters Perline and Evelyn and became one of the first females to be recruited for the 'Contract' in the United States where she stayed for a year and was recruited again for another year.
When she returned to the Bahamas, she entered the Hotel industry as a Bus Girl and went on to become a Waitress at the British Colonial Hotel where she remained until she decided to become her own boss and established the Crystal Palace Restaurant & Bar, a small business on Market Street South which she operated until she retired in January 1985. She then became a full time care giver for her brother (Bulla Jimmy).
A very friendly and humorous person Eulah would always have a "joke" to share with anyone she came into contact with and whenever you were leaving she would always say, "God go with you."

HER UNION....On 25th January 1939 she was married to Herbert Taylor, who predeceased her.

HER DEATH... Over the years Eulah's health began to fail but her faith in her God only grew stronger. Even though she was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital numerous times on all occasions, the Good Lord always brought her through. On 20th July 2011 she entered the hospital for the last time when she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Even though it appeared that she would soon be released to the loving care of her daughters who anxiously awaited her return: she very quietly slipped from mortal to immortality in the morning of Friday, 5th August 2011.
