Obituary

FRED ALEXANDER WILLIAMS, formerly of Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera, was born on
December 25th, 1941 on the Island of Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. He was the oldest son of
John Benjamin (Black Jack) Williams from the Turks and Caicos Island and Gladys Isadora (nee Roberts) Williams from Harbour Island both of whom are deceased.

Fred lived is childhood life on that Island and mastered the Art of cooking and became a Chef by profession. After completing his school he moved to Nassau seeking employment and to better himself. He worked at The Emerald Beach, The Ambassador, The Nassau Beach Hotels' just to name a few. Fred spent most of his life in Freeport, Grand Bahama where he worked as a Butler for Mr. Edward St. George and Sir Jack Haywood. He then migrated to Miami and lived there for a short while.

Upon returning home to Nassau he then was employed by the Barnes of Cable Beach until his retirement. Over the years Fred worshipped at Christ Church Cathedral there he was very active and then he made The Most Holy Trinity Anglican Church his home Church.

Fred loved to entertained always having some kind of dinner/party inviting friends at his residence for a good time. and you better be on time or you will get a piece of his mind. He was very active with the Progressive Liberal Party where he became a Stalwart Councilor.

On June 13th, 2015 Fred was admitted to Prince Margaret Hospital. He passed away quietly to be with his Lord on June 16th, 2015 at 3:00pm.
