On October 8, 1945, Juliet Claudette was the third of eight children born to the late William and Eula White. Juliet married Rudolph Munroe in 1972 and the couple was blessed with two children, Jewitt and Ebinique. Juliet's compassionate devotion extended to her grand-daughter Teasia Munroe.
Juliet's most endearing characteristic was her unfailing ability to find humour in the midst of virtually any situation. Her sense of humour evoked contagious laughter from everyone in her presence.
Juliet received her early education at Eastern Junior and Senior Schools, completing her secondary education at Government High School. She furthered her education in business studies at 'Career Training Institute,' Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She began her career as Front Desk Operator at Holiday Inn, Freeport, Grand Bahama in 1971. After completing seven years at this establishment, she was transferred to the sister company, Holiday Inn, Paradise Island, where she remained for a further three years (1978-81). Ambitious and industrious, she was employed for thirteen (13) years at the Wyndam Ambassador Beach Hotel until its closure. Motivated by her sense of personal development; she enrolled in further upgrading courses in Computer Studies and Front Office Operations.
She was subsequently employed at the Fred S. Ramsey General Insurance Agency Ltd. until her retirement in 2010.
Juliet was raised in the Anglican faith. Later she joined Wesley Methodist Church, Grant's Town where she became an integral part in the life of the Church. In pursuit of her divine purpose, she became an active member in the Church and devotedly participated in Bible Study.
Juliet was under ongoing medical treatment over the past year. Her last admission to Princess Margaret Hospital was on Monday, August 19, 2013, finally succumbing to her illness on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 4:25 p.m.
