Obituary

It was during the early morning hours on February 17th,1979, Lavardo, a bouncing baby boy was born at the Princess Margaret Hospital. He was my pride and joy. He was my first child. I named him Lavrdo Demetrius Dean.
Lavardo, at a very early age, was taked by his grandmother, Eunice(deceased) to live with her at Roses, Long Island. Lavardo becam a prized young boy to his grandmother. He was he help aid around the house and in the farm.
At school, he excelled. His favourite subject was mathematics.
Due to his grandmother failing health, she had to relocate to Nassau where she resided with Eury. Lavardo now was under the control of his mother, Eurydice and influnced by his grandmother in her usual way. He would always seek comfort from Grandma, whom he affectionately called 'Mother'.
Lavardo completed his education at A.F. Adderley Sr. High School. He obtained favourable passes in five basic subjects at the Bahamas Junior Certificate level.
After graduating, he became an apprentice in the auto mechanic trade. He then moved out from his mother's home and began his sojourn as an independent bachelor. Lavardo's bond with his immediate family waned as he waxed and explored new frontiers.
His exploration was halted abruptly on Monday, 14th May, 2012 when he was gunned down as he was entering his home at Red Land Acres off Soldier Road. Snuffed away by someone unknown to us under perplexing circumstances.
