Obituary

Lillian Advilda Fisher Nee-( Rolle) was born in Rolle Town, Exuma to the proud parents of Ahijah and Clara Rolle.

Lillian moved to Nassau to attend the Eastern Senior School. She met and fell in love with a tall, dark and handsome gentleman by the name of Charles Alexander Fisher who she married in 1948. This union was blessed with six children, one who pre-deceased her.

Lillian lived her life to the fullest. She entertained and loved to cook for all who came in contact with her. The friends of her children and grandchildren were like her own.

Being a great cook, Lillian worked at various restaurants namely, Horse Shoe, Loft House, Cumberland House, Archers Restaurant and Blackbeard Tower.

After many years of cooking, Lillian decided that she would retire and become a homemaker for her grandchildren. Upon her retirement, she began her own bake shop baking her famous fruit cakes, bread pudding, pies and tarts. Her business was patronized by all.

Not being satisfied with just cooking for her family, Lillian and her husband began a soup and grocery kitchen where they delivered cooked food and groceries to those who were in need every Tuesday.

As a member of St. Margaret's Anglican Parish, Lillian served faithfully in the A.C.W., the Crusillo movement and she was a member of the Prayer Band Croup.

A born again christian and an excellent peacemaker, Lillian loved the Lord and loved to sing her hymns. Recently, her favorite song was "Every Praise is to our God". When this song came on she would raise her hand to heaven and worship God and constantly repeat "Every Praise is to our God".
