On September 22, 1936 a baby girl was born to the late Jacob and Lucita Butterfield Hall of Turks and Cacicos. She was given the name Mary. Mary attended Turks and Caicos' All Age School, upon completion she came to Nassau, where she started working in the Straw Market in 1968, she worked as a straw vendor for more than 35 years.
Mary attended Church of God for many years, she loved to go to Church to serve the Lord. She was very faithful and active member, and received many awards and gifts for her unselfish service. She was a member of the Choir and also served in the Women's Ministry. She was a praying woman of God and would often pray for families and the families of others.
Mary was a cheerful, king, faithful, loving and caring person and there was nothing she wouldn't do to help others. She was married to a wonderful man, a man she could depend on no matter what. Mary loved her husband very much, she always bought him the best no matter what the cost. She had no children of her own, but loved her two step daughters.
In 2007 Mary had an accident, she took a fall and broke her thigh bone. A chip had to be placed in her leg. In2009 at a routine doctor's visit it was discovered that the chip had infected the leg, Mary spent approximately six weeks in hospital where she was treated and then released. After being released from hospital, she would have to return for routine checkups every month.
Early Saturday morning June 30th, 2012 Mary went home to be with the Lord.
