Merva Maria Higgins' Obituary
A TIME TO BE BORN....The joy of a New birth was experienced by late Omedies Higgins and Ethlyn Mcphee on 17th day January 1951 in the City of Nassau Bahamas a daughter whom they named Merva Maria Higgins.
A TIME TO LEARN..... Merva received her early education at Southern Junior and Southern Senior Schools on Wulff Road.
A TIME TO WORK..... Merva was a go getter one that knew what it was to hustle she knew about rising early for work and turning in late she loved working with the staff at the braiding center in their own way they became like family to her. The best thing that happened to Merva was accepting the Lord as her personal savior and the second best thing was finding the Bahamas Faith Ministries and becoming a member her ultimate goal was to serve and God gave her that opportunity as she was given a chance to become a greeter BFM and Pastor Miles was her world, everything was Pastor Miles she bought so many of pastor miles tapes CDs and books and made sure her family was getting the word she served well she was a committed greeter always in place and served right to the very end.
A TIME TO WORK.... Merva was very ditcty individual and those who knew her especially in her early years knew that she dressed to impress, she looked the part, she believed in keeping a neat clean house and she was an exceptional cook. She was strong willed one that got her point across and she was also a leader in her own rights she never allowed anyone to over power or over rule her decision she believed in family and she loved her family especially her grand children she showed loved to all she came into contact with.
A TIME TO DIE..... Merva had a stroke but many people never knew because she kept going to work and attending church like it never happened she was so faithful and she loved God and made sure everyone she came into contact with knew it. She became ill and went in and out the hospital as the year 2013 began finally when the doctor gave their prognosis she refused to limit God she trusted him to heal her and that he did on Sunday the 10th day of February God called her from labour to reward now she is in a better place
