Obituary

For I know that my Redeemer and that he shall stand at the
latter day upon the earth. And though after worm my skins
worm destroy this body. Yet in my flesh shall I see God.
Job 19: 25-26
Life is a blessing and special gift from God, it isn't important
what occur at the beginning or the end but what really
matters most is the journey in between. The friends we have
encountered, the lives we positively touch and the impact of
good deeds to others will forever be cherished.
A time to be Born
On February 28th, 1932, Lenor Nee Johnson Evans, the
third child of seven children was born to proud parents of
Harvey and Brandella Johnson. (Predeceased)
A time for Every Purpose
under the Heaven
She received her education at the Lowe Sound All Age School.
School during this era had its limitations, but that did not
limit Lenor for soon she became the school monitor. She
was an intelligent and attractive young lady with a radiant
smile who captured the heart of Elias Mossa Evans. They
were later joined in holy matrimony. This union was blessed
with six children, three boys and three girls.
A time to die
During the month of December 2012, Lenor fell ill and was
told by her doctor that her liver had failed. She was in and out
of the hospital before she found that her illness was terminal.
She made up her mind to return to her home in Lowe Sound
among her family and friends and put her trust in God.
Although Sis. Lenny was sick and going through constant
pain, she always praised her God. She never complained and
always had the encouraging words "All is Well".
She would always say "I don't want you all to think and
wonder about me, my anchor holds and grips the solid rock."
Anytime the Mt. Freedom Church family would visit her,
she would always be able to tell them on which page to look,
to find the hymn that they were looking for. Sis. Lennys'
voice, that was always so strong whenever she raised a song
in church, was becoming weak, but she never forgot to praise
her God.
After months of battling with the pain, the Lord said to her;
Lenor, I will not put more on you than you can bear, You
have fought the good fight, you have finished your course,
and you have kept the faith. Hence forth now is laid up for
you a crown of righteousness.
On Tuesday 17th
September, 2013, she
bid this world farewell
and quietly slipped away
to be with her Lord. Now is
the time to rejoice because she is
beyond mortal pain and suffering as her soul has
ascended to the place of perfect peace and eternal rest where
the soul never dies.
Home sweet home, how sweet the name of Jesus sound,
Hinder me not.
