Funeral Service Announcement

Funeral service for Pastor Ruth Naomi Saunders , age 80, a resident of #29 Flamingo Drive, Sunset Park, New Providence Bahamas and formerly of Lovely Bay, Acklins Bahamas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 4, 2026, at Southland Cathedral Global Ministries, Soldier Road. Officiating will be Bishop Sanford Rolle, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Spikenard and Cowpen Roads.

She is survived by her children: Carolyn (Clarence) Carrol, Bernard (Veoneika) Saunders, Bernardette (Wayde) Francis, Edward (Janet) Saunders, Alexander (Monique) Saunders, Sestelle (Washington) Wallace, Denise (Edward) Fritz, Lynieka Drew; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brothers: Orlean Ferguson, Rudolph (Rosemary) Ferguson, Humphrey (Lenor) Ferguson, Cecil (Frances) Ferguson, Leo Ferguson; sisters: Inamae Ferguson, Claudette (Wilfred) Dean, Naomi (Randolph Sr.) Mackey, Elizabeth Emmanuel; sister-in-law: Uris Ferguson and many others too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd. , Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
