For unto us a child was born…
On the 25th day of May, 1988, a beautiful baby boy was handed from God and given to Eltreda Dean (deceased) and Philip
Adams. Great pride and joy filled their lives as they happily held this precious gem and gave him the name Philliton Adams,
after his grandfather.
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. (Prov 18:15)
"Philly", as he was affectionately called received his education first at Claridge Primary, and later transferred to Stephen Dillet
Primary. He was a humble child, and his teachers loved and were drawn to him. They had found no fault with such a gem.
Afterwards, he moved on to North Andros High, where he was one of the top students and shined during his tenure there. He
was later transferred back to Nassau where he continued his education at C. C. Sweeting Senior until he graduated in 2006.
It was there when he discovered that he had art skills and developed his art and craft hobbies. During his years of school he
was a very quiet and reserved individual.
By the sweat of your face you will eat bread..(Gen 3:19)
Philly developed the skills of a semi-skilled carpenter and worked in many construction fields until 2012; a few of them being
Carl G Treco Construction and L.O. Ramsey Construction. In 2014 Philliton decided to venture off in his own business and
was self-employed as an auto detailer until he was no longer able to.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Heb 9:27)
It was around 12:00 midnight on January 25th when Philly woke up experiencing breathing complications and was rushed
to the hospital. While in route and lying on his sister's shoulder, Philliton quietly slipped away and was called home to his
heavenly father.
Philliton had such a quiet nature, but a fun outgoing spirit. He loved gathering with his family and friends; always finding a
way to make them smile. He loved to joke around, making smart and sharp remarks all throughout the day, making sure he
brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. Even strangers were drawn in by Philly's kind and witty demeanor. He will
be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts.
