It was a beautiful day on the 3rd May 1972, when Rufus and Donnamae Bodie proudly welcomed their third bundle of joy. She was a beautiful baby girl whom they named Raquel Antoinette and affectionately called "Quel". Everyone doted on her as she was a quiet, beautiful, smiling and caring child.

Education: Quel attended William Gordon Primary School and was later transferred to Ridgeland Primary School along with her siblings. She attended the C.H. Reeves Junior High School and then graduated from the Government High School.

Work Life: After finishing High School her first job was at Fashion Hall. Her next job was at Poinciana Inn. She also worked at Wendy's and her last job was at the Atlantis Cove Housekeeping Department where she worked for the last eighteen years.

Family Life: It was while employed at Poinciana Inn, that she met her soul mate Hervis in 1989. They were inseparable and they became husband and wife on November 13th 2004. They built a home that was filled with warmth, love and laughter. It was a home where you got what you needed, be it food, company or comfort. She was such a giving person and exemplified the Christian values that she taught to her children. she was someone who supported her family in any endeavor that they undertook. She was a hard worker who believed in earning her pay and giving the best of her service to whatever she did.

Time to Die: On Sunday the 28th September she was admitted to the hospital and on the 1st October her heavenly Father called her home. Her death, So unexpected, has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. Quel's smiles, touch and the sound of her voice will be forever missed by all who knew her and held her dear in their hearts.
