On June 19th 1949 a beautiful bouncing baby boy was born to the late Edward Major and Mae Higgs in Adelaide Village, Nassau, Bahamas.
In 1950, Reggie moved to Harbor Island with his grandmother, where he attended the all age school at the age 16.
Reggie then moved to Freeport, Grand Bahama were he was employed as a chef at the Kings Inn at the age of 21. After many years of working at the noble establishment Reggie then moved back to Harbour Island, where he became a bus driver. In 1972, he then left that island again to be employed as a chef at the Cat Cay Club in Bimini, where he remained employed for about 5 years. Being the ambitious person that Reggie was, in 1977, he bought a taxi and returned to his beloved Harbour Island, where he established his very own business, affectingly known as Reggie's Taxi. Reggie was loved by all who he had the pleasure of coming in contact with winter residents in Harbour Island.
In 2013, Reggie's health began to fail him. He was admitted to P.M.H. in Nassau for food poisoning and other illness. On Friday, January 17th, 2014 the blessed day of our Lord about 10:40 pm Reggie was called home to be with his heavenly father.
