On April 6th the home of Rev. Stafford and Mrs.
Raphieletha Cooper was blessed with a beautiful
baby girl whom they christened Shawnlee Rochelle
Cooper.
Time to Learn
From her infant age Shawnlee was an intelligent child.
She started her pre-school education at the Ebenezer
Mission Baptist Church, where she remained until
she graduated. She attended the E.P. Roberts Primary
School where she graduated in June 1980. She then
attended the S.C. McPherson Junior High School
where she stayed from grade seven through ten. She
was then sent to A.F. Adderley Senior High School
where she graduated from grade twelve in the year
of 1992.
A time to live
Shawnlee was a very ambitious person. She was a
Master at any speech contest and her mouth was her
weapon.
A time to work
Shawnlee always believed in the saying "by the
sweat of thy brow you will eat bread." So she sought
employment and was hired at the Super Club Breezes
Hotel. She worked hard and was a dedicated worker.
Under the guidance of her mother she strived for the
best and tried to reach many goals. She was assigned
to the stewarding department for the last eighteen
years where she achieved several awards including
Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year
and even being crowned Mrs. Breezes. She remained
at Breezes until her demise.
A Time to Love
On July 12th 2008 she married the love of her life
Damion Taylor Sr.
A time to Die
On the morning of July 4th, 2013 at 9:07 a.m.
Shawnlee made the last call to her mother telling her
mother that she loved her repeatedly and telling her
to tell everyone she loved them and that she must
pray for her. She was later discovered by her husband
and brother in a unconscious state. They administered
CPR until medical assistance arrived. She was taken
to the hospital where she slipped away to meet her
loving Saviour.
