A TIME TO BE BORN

On Thursday 5th March, 1959 a bouncing baby boy was born to Sheva Rolle and Walton Rolle (pre-deceased). He was the third of eight children and was name Sidney Rolle.

A TIME TO LEARN
Walt , Sid or Smiley as he was affectionately called grew up in a Christian home. Smiley began his early education at St. Barnabas pre-school. He later went onto Stephen Dillet Primary School after graduating out of primary school Sid spent his Junior school days at A.F.Adderley Secondary school. Smiley then went onto to graduate from C.C. Sweeting Senior High School.


A TIME TO BUILD

Over the past years young Sidney grew into a vibrant and very outgoing man. Even through the troubling years Sidney was able to learn the trade of plumbing from Cliff Johnson. With plumbing as his new found love Sid move on to becoming a Shift Engineer at the Holiday Inn in 1987. His charismatic attitude lead him to befriend many people ( Walt was a very friendly person).

In 1989 whilst still working at Holiday Inn Sidney started to attend Central Church of the Nazarene with James Knowles. Shortly before starting the Church of the Nazarene Sidney gave his life to the Lord. With God as the leader of his life Sid was a devoted church member. Active on many of the Church board including Youth minister, Men's Ministry leader and a Trustee , etc .He also coached the church basketball team.

In 1995 Sidney moved onto work at the Atlantis Resort , continuing his work as a shift engineer. As the years passed he became very active in work events, coaching a very successful Engineering All-Stars. He also became a shop steward then later on became a Chief Shop Steward for 13 years. For his love of the hotel works Walt decided to resign from Atlantis in 2006 to run under the leadership of Roy Colebrooke in the BHCAWU elections as third Vice President with the Justice team. He served the people for three consecutive years with diligence. In 2009 he ran again forming his own team Redemption. Even though they were unsuccessful that still didn't dampen Sidney's spirit. Because of his passion he tired again in 2010 with Workers Coalition team. After is many efforts and unfailing strength Sidney returned to the Hotel in November of 2010 as a Chief shift engineer at the Paradise Utilities Plant where he retired in September 2014.

Sidney was a successful plumber , he loved his trade and in 1986 decided to open up his own plumbing business. Sidney's Plumbing was a small business he operated right from home. He met and did work for many people who he called friends. He was a honest man and did his work to the best of his abilities.

A TIME TO LOVE
Shortly after joining the Central Church Sidney fell in love with a very beautiful young lady Evelyn and her son Keito who became his son. Within a short time of dating they got married April 29th, 1989. There union was blessed with three beautiful children Sydnease, Carnisha and Sidney Rolle Jr. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Making sure he had family vacations, outings and church time was what he lived for.
> Unfortunately in March 2010. His first love Evelyn passed away leaving him to finish raise their four kids. With a heart empty but filled with love he started dating Monique Ritchie . They then got married in December of 2011. He became a father to her two kids Jayden and Jordan. There union was blessed with a beautiful baby girl Jada Rolle.
