A TIME TO BORN:

On May 31, 1989, a beautiful baby boy was graced to the parentage of Thor Adderley and the late Mitzi Marshall. They named him Thor Alexander (Thor which means thunder and strength), thus given the nickname "Mighty" and "Lil Thor" because he was short in statute. This little, yet strong son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend was loved by all – the young and the young at heart.

At the age of two months when his mother came for a visit to his grandmother's house, she fell so much in love with him that she asked Mitzi to leave him with her. Without much thought, she knew her son would have been in good hands and she obliged. His Grandmother, Orria, took great care of him up to the age of two years. After cutting his second birthday cake that Sunday his grandmother Orria Saunders, passed away. His aunt Yvette took on the mother role and took him as her son. Together, she and Thor Sr. raised him with unconditional love. He and his father shared a bond that was inseparable. Upon the marriage of his Aunt Yvette, his Aunt Kenya also assisted with his upbringing and loved him unconditionally.

A TIME TO PRAY:

Lil Thor was baptized at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He spent his formative years as an altar server under the guidance of Fr. David Cooper. The only book that could be found in his car was the bible. His Aunt Marlean asked him why his bible was so torn up. He replied, "That is how much I used it". He would pray daily and most recently he posted a number of scripture quotes on the family chat. Before he ate any food, no matter how small of a portion it may have been, he would always thank God before eating. He always told his Aunty Yvette that God knew his heart.

A TIME TO LEARN:

Lil Thor began his early education at the Centre for Early Education, Stapledon Gardens. He was one of the smallest students in the school but most loving; whenever he saw his peers shoe lace untied; he would bend down and tie them. Everyone was so amazed because he was only about two and a half years old. On his way to school he would sing his nursery rhymes and recite his scripture verse every morning all the way from Meeting Street to Stapledon Gardens.

Upon graduating from preschool Lil Thor attended St. Francis and Joseph Primary School. When he took his entrance exam for St. Francis and Joseph School he fell in love right away. But, when it was time for him to go back to his preschool he cried all the way to Stapledon Gardens

because he did not want to go back to the old Mrs. Lockhart, he wanted to stay with the new Mrs. Lockhart. It was so ironic that both principals' names were Lockhart. Every day he would ask, "School soon close so I can go to the new school to the new Mrs. Lockhart".

Every child in the school knew Lil Thor, if not by name, by height, because he was the dream basketball player. His father would walk him to school every morning and the Sisters of St. Martin's Convent would always comment on how great it was to see a father walking his son to school.

He loved basketball and was an avid player. He became a member of the school's basketball team. He made sure that his school won the championship games and not only once, but for the duration of his time on the team. St. Francis' Sharks was his team! Lil Thor was featured on one occasion as the player of the week in 'The Tribune'. He was only six years old at the time; basketball was in his blood.

Upon graduating from St. Francis and St. Joseph School, Lil Thor attended Aquinas College until the eighth grade. After, he was enrolled in a Seventh Day Adventist Boarding School in Jamaica, his mother's place of birth. It was an experience for Thor. Upon his return to Nassau he enrolled at C. R. Walker Sr. High School where he displayed excellence in basketball and in art.

A TIME TO WORK:

Lil Thor had various jobs which included the Water Depot and Early Vision Construction Company; he was an excellent worker. However, he fell in love with cars and became a self-taught mechanic and auto dealer. His Aunt Tracey could call on him at anytime to service her car, or any friends who were in need of auto mechanic assistance. He had so many cars in his short life time it was amazing.

A TIME FOR FAMILY:

Lil Thor loved his family! He was a sweet and mannerly young man. No matter what you asked he will always answer "Yes Mam, No Mam, Yes Sir, No Sir". His smile was contagious. Everyone loved Lil Thor; he assisted everyone at all times. No matter how far he was, if you needed a ride, he would come. He loved his family, and he had a very special love for his "mother", Aunt Yvette. She in turned loved him just the same and at times would spoil him a bit. She called him first thing in the morning, during the day and of course at night to ensure that he was okay and always end the conversation with sound advice, "be safe" and "I love you."

On Sunday's he would telephone his aunts to find out who was cooking fish. He would stop by his Aunt Clover (Marlean) and spend time with his cousins and then call his Aunt's- Yvette, Tracey, Deanthia and Kiki and also Patricia who was like a mother to him. While eating his

Sunday meal he would put in his order for the following week. He always brags about how his aunts could cook and took pictures of the food to show his friends.

When he called his Aunt Tracey on Sunday, July 5, to see if she cooked any fish, she said no but assured him that the following week; she would prepare his dinner for him. Oh how she had looked forward to that time with him.

On the Family chat, Lil Thor was always the joker of the group. He was extremely close with his cousins; they laughed and joked on most occasions. They all got along very well as if though they were brothers.

A TIME TO DIE:

On the fateful morning of Monday, July 6, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Thor had passed from this life to eternity. We all know that he did a good deed and left us to do the same. God saw an empty spot in his garden and planted Thor right there to bloom. May his soul and souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace…Amen.
