Funeral Service Announcement

Funeral service for Veronica Aniska Brooks, age 60, a resident of #15 Lobster Avenue, Golden Gates I, Nassau Bahamas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 10, 2026, at New Destiny Baptist Cathedral, Gladstone Road. Officiating will be Bishop Delton Fernander, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Spikenard and Cowpen Roads.

Left to cherish her memories is her devoted Mother: Virginia "Baby" Brooks-Jones; beloved Children: Nadia Brooks-Chase (Lysle), Omar, Tario and Chartavia Brooks; treasured Grandchildren: Christinique Adderley, A'Liyah Brooks, Qhauwnyen Thompson, Nathan Brooks, Tavon Brooks, Layelle Chase, Jayniell Jerome; Great- Granddaughter: Chloe Adderley; Siblings: Terricita Graham, Paul, (Stacy) Jones, Keith Jones, Raquel (Wayde) Sands, Chandel (Inspector Brent) Johnson, Lloydrina (Errol) Burrows, Lloyd (Karen) Jones, Sherise (Roy) Dunkins, Erica Vernincha, Inspector Roseanna Simmons, Arnetta and Cedric Hart; Aunts: Coralee Sawyer, Rachel, Daynette (Anthony), Florence Rolle-Johnson, Ellamae Simmons, Annie Simmons; Uncles: Kenneth, Jeffrey Rolle and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads on Friday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
